After days of speculations and a few hints from mom and dad, we finally know the names of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's newborn twins: Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon!
CNN reports on the inspiration behind the names of the twins, known until now as "dembabies":
"Their son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon, with the nickname 'Roc.' Scott is Nick's middle name, as well as his grandmother's maiden name.
The top tier of Mariah's New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room, because of the Moroccan-inspired decor. It's also the place where Nick proposed to his wife, overlooking Manhattan!
Their daughter's name is Monroe Cannon. Mariah's rep says she does not have a middle name because Mariah herself does not have one. Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Mariah her whole life."
Moroccan and Monroe were born on April 30, the couple's 3rd wedding anniversary.

Just one day after Access Hollywood confirmed Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were engaged, new reports have surfaced that the happy couple are officially newlyweds.
According to a post on Latina.com, Mariah and Nick tied the knot on Wednesday in a small, private ceremony.
According to the article, the "very impulsive" ceremony was held on an undisclosed island and attended by a few close friends, including Da Brat.
When contacted by Access Hollywood, reps for both singers were unavailable for comment.
Mariah was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 Ð 1998.
This will be the first marriage for Nick, who was previously engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year.

Mariah Carey was born on March 27, 1970 in Long Island, New York to parents Patricia Hickey and Alfred Roy Carey. Her mother being Irish and her father being of Afro-American and Venezuelan decent.
