Personal Life: On June 15, 1963, a director, Gordon Hunt and, a photographer, Jane Hunt had their second child in Culver City, California. They named her Helen. Helen"s older sister"s name is Colleen.
When Helen was three her family moved to New York. At age nine she moved back to California, this time to Los Angeles. In 1973 she made her acting debut in Pioneer Women, a television movie. That same year she appeared on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Two years later Helen starred as Helga on the Swiss Family Robinson television series. Her first feature film was Rollercoaster, at age fourteen. Project X, Our Town, the Broadway show, the play The Taming of the Shrew, and The Waterdance are experiences Helen Hunt has had as an actress between the years 1986 and 1992.
Currently she is starring in the television series Mad About You, a show of five years. The most recent movie Helen has done is the 1996 Steven Spielberg production, Twister.
California State University at Northridge is one of the schools Helen attended for her education. She dropped out after one year. She also studied at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and at Chicago"s Goodman Theatre.
